Serial number M3759 to blade. Supremely well etched; Robert Mole, makers to the War and India Offices, were the name in quality swords in the later Victorian era.
The 35 3/4 inch blade is beautifully grey etched and in very good condition with minimal wear, patina etc. for its age, plus firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard with some light rusting around the edges is in good condition. The fishskin grip has some wear patches but not too much and is overall in very good condition, as are the associated twisted grip wire bindings. Leather knot and scabbard both very good for age. The sword sheathes and draws well.
