Very hard to determine likely province, probably Bizen, due to the blade having been buffed polished. The blade’s Nakago (tang) has three Mekugi-Ana (peg holes) indicating some age as it has clearly been mounted three separate times in the past. The Gokatana (blade of the Kozuka) is signed but the wakizashi itself is not. Who knows what glories could be revealed if given a good professional traditional polish.
The 17 1/2 inch nagasa (cutting edge section) blade is in good condition but has been buffed polished. All the furniture (fittings) are good but there is some fraying and a little movement to parts of the Ito (silk grip bindings).
A very nice wakizashi with the potential to be great (with a traditional professional polish). A snip at was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference Y48. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1445-80x18x16 (1.262).
