Most likely Wilkinson made. Probably suitable for a serving officer as much as for a collector.
The 31 5/8 inch blade is in very good condition, some wear with just a few small patina spots / patches around the edges but good. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard is good and retains much gilt; the folding guard sections works well and locates as it should on the securing pin of the scabbard’s top locket. The white fishskin grip and associated twisted grip wire bindings are in very good condition. The original sword know has a little wear but is still good. The leather and brass fitting scabbard is good. The sword sheathes and draws well if a little stiffly (as it would when brand new, so likely not drawn very often). Carry bag in very good condition.
