In very good condition, an ERII British Royal Artillery Named Officer’s Wilkinson Sword

Etched to E. O. Ellis Jones, Major Edward. O. Ellis Jones M.B.E retired from the army in 2006. Edward modified / added to the scabbard, two suspension rings so he did not have to use a frog. Serial number 84282 for late 1962, no doubt when he was commissioned into the Royal Artillery.



The 34 1/4 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard very good, some tarnish patches but these can / could be removed with a good metal polish such as Simichrome to be as new. The faux black fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings are in very good condition. Modified field service scabbard in very good condition. Lambskin bag / cover (not shown) aged.
