With regimental makings to the pommel, yes, a bit rusted but good / sound underneath; the regimental markings already showing.
The 17 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt has rusted and the wooden grips show wear, but sound. The leather and steel fittings scabbard with some scuffing and rusting is nonetheless sound / good. The bayonet sheathes and draws well.
Ask for full sized photos as you may well be able to determine the regiment without cleaning and may have an even bigger bargain than the was £? (too late, now sold) price tag is already! Please quote item reference X89. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1394-92x17x15 (1.141).
