No maker’s name, but that was common. The sword dates from 1770 to 1780. It has a period sharpened blade with several old nicks to it, so it may well have seen action in America.
The 25 3/4 inch blade has a steady patina with several nicks to the cutting edge and a slightly turned very tip. Blade firm in the grip; the hilt with some movement. The metal spiraled grip in very good condition.
