Sold Item Notice

This shin gunto is the plain iron / steel tsuba version. The sword blade bears the serial number 77904, while the saya / scabbard throat has 79078, so the scabbard is a replacement.

The 26 1/4 inch blade (straight line measurement of the cutting edge only) is sharp and in good condition, some staining / patina streaks, Blade firm in the tsuka / grip. Some copper paint to the grip remaining. The saya / scabbard with some war time paint is in good condition. The sword sheathes and draws well, and the locking pin mechanism works well and holds the saya in place.
