British swords were popular with Portuguese officers. King Pedro V reigned from 1853 to 1861.



The 32 1/3 inch blade is in good condition save for some black inert patina rust patches. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt with some plating bubbles, tarnish and general age. The grip in good condition, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. The leather scabbard in good condition. The sword sheathes and draws well.
