We can’t make the markings to the pommel out; feel free to try.
The 16 3/4 inch blade is in good condition but with some inert black rust patches. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt with black inert patina and rust patches, but is good. The release button is solid (does not move). The wooden grip segments with some age. The scabbard good for its age. The bayonet sheathes and draws well.
