Sales enquiries

No maker's mark or hint as to the police force that once owned this. But it has been worn by an officer as it comes with its original belt loop with clear aged wear.

The 23 3/8 inch blade is in overall very good condition but with a few rust patches. Blade firm in the grip; the hilt with a tiny amount of movement common to these stirrup hilts. The brass hilt in good condition. Grey fishskin grip is good but with some areas of wear and a couple of tiny wear / moth holes. The locking pin mechanism has lost its round thumb disc but does move. The leather and brass scabbard is good but does not sheath fully because of the locking pin mechanism not being depressed; otherwise the sword sheathes and draws well.

Maybe a job for an amateur restorer? In any even, a bargain at just £300. Please quote item reference number W12. Further / full sized pictures available upon request. Tube 1125-94x14 (2.180).
