WW2 Japanese NCO's Shin Gunto / Katana, Sold

In good condition, a WW2 Japanese NCO's Shin Gunto / Katana with matching serial numbers.

Matching serial numbers 33429 to the blade and scabbard / saya; this is an early war NCO's shin gunto.

The 26 5/6 inch blade is in very good condition but with some patina patches. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt / grip with some original copper coloured paint remaining. The saya / scabbard is good, a little light rusting, with some war time green paint remaining. The sword sheathes and draws well. The locking pin mechanism works well.
