In good condition, a 19th Century Caucasian Shaska / Shasqa / Shasqua with 5 Wisdoms of Islam Silverwork

A big, heavy, superb Caucasian Shaska / Shasqa / Shasqua with silver Islamic detail to the blade, including the “5 Wisdoms of Islam” (also known as the “Lion and Sun motif” which may be familiar to you as it is seen on the Iranian national flag).



The 34 3/4 inch blade is in good though aged condition, one side’s silverwork better than the other, firm in the hilt. The browned / bronzed steel hilt with koftgari decoration is worn and dented but still sound.
