In overall good condition, a WW1 GV British Army (Infantry) Officer's Sword.

WW1 GV British Army (Infantry) Officer's Swordimage u64 1

Sold Item Notice

No maker's / retailer's name to the blade, so probably made 1916 to 1918 at the height of WW1. The hilt / guard has the remains of brown camouflage paint, so it was intended / used / worn in the field of battle.

The 32 3/8 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The steel hilt with remnants of camouflage paint in very good order. Grip and grip wire good. The field service leather scabbard is in poor condition (perhaps you can source another to make this a very respectable WW1 sword - no, sorry, we can not help with another scabbard). The sword sheathes and draws well.

A really nice sword at just £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference U64 (0941). Further / full sized images available upon request.
