A very rare sword but not in the best condition; a rare Victorian Naval Officers Court Sword. So this sword would have been worn by the naval officer when in formal (not naval) dress. SA regular court sword but with a fouled anchor (rather than a royal cypher) to the hilt / guard.

The 27 1/2 inch blade in generally good condition but with the very tip gone. Blade firm in hilt but probably as a result of repair. The gilt on brass hilt shows its frail composition / nature with bending and repairs. The leather and brass fittings scabbard is quite good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
You are paying for rarity here folks; just was £? (too late, now sold), try finding another! Please quote item reference T13. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 0731-1m (1.269).
