A scarce sword in such good condition and for a very small and rare yeomanry cavalry regiment, plus with matching regiment, troop and weapon numbers (ECYC B 43) to the hilt / guard and scabbard; it does not get much better than that!

The 35 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt; the tip section has been period modified (see photos). The hilt with a steady patina is very good. The original leather grip has wear and some small sectional losses, but is still good. The scabbard has a mid way kink (small amount of splitting). The sword is a little loose in the scabbard (the original wooden liner slats are clearly gone).
A really superb British 1821P trooper’s sword in well above average condition. Yours for was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote reference S03. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 0607-121x17x17 (2.641).
