The regulation length 32 1/4 well etched (with GRV, Coldstream Guards Badge & Motto, plus pre-war battle honours for the regiment) has some patina patching but is generally good and firm in the hilt. The guard with Coldstream Guards badge within the cartouche is good, some speckling to the plating. The fishskin grip is a little faded and has a little wear, but is nonetheless good; silver metal twisted grip wire bindings a tiny bit worn / wayward in places are good. The leather field service scabbard is generally very good for its age, typical wear etc to the chape. The leather carry bag is dry and aged, but sound; the hood has a split around the initials “J W B”. The sword sheathes and draws well.
