With a bit of TLC, maybe even parade ground condition! Serial number 112886 for 1982. Etched to “2/LT P. D. Fogarty, The King’s Regiment”.
32 1/2 inch well etched blade with some small light rust and light wear patches is otherwise in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The plated steel ERII guard is in very good condition (we have not looked under the sword knot). Fishskin (probably faux) grip in very good condition, as are the silver metal twisted grip wire bindings. Original leather sword knot in good condition. Leather field service scabbard has scrapes / wear (may improve with low cost leather balsam) but is still good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
Nice example and named officer, just was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference AH41. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1777-106x15x14 (1.595)
