Marine bone grip with Indian sanskrit over 3 acceptance / test mark / view mark to the wootz steel blade
A superb looking dirk with bone rather than ivory grip, a clearly Indian wootz steel pattern to the blade, and East India Company lion to the pommel. Blade is 18 inches long and firm in the brass hilt. The hilt with very old varnish to it giving the appearance of a gilt finish. The back piece very slightly bows away from the grip, but not by much.
