No maker’s / retailer’s name, but very well made and has “London Made” to spine. It is very, very rare to come across an RNR Midshipman’s Dirk; much more sought after then regular RN Midshipman’s Dirks for sure.

The 17 1/2 inch blade is well etched and has “R. N. R.” to both sides; blade with some patina patches, firm in the hilt. The hilt in good condition with “R N R” plus crowned anchor to the langet. The white fishskin grip is aged, a little grubby and has a couple of small moth holes. The twisted grip wire bindings are overall good. The original sword knot is a big bonus, is sound but aged, a little frayed and grubby. The leather and brass scabbard is mostly good but with a crease. The dirk sheathes and draws well, plus the locking mechanism works as it should.
