Period sharpened, date “3” “8” (March, 1908), marked “2 I” to hilt and “J. W. B. 18” to scabbard.
The 16 3/4 inch blade is in good condition and firm in the hilt. Hilt good but with wood knocks / dents and general age / wear. The round frog button version scabbard is aged but good. The bayonet sheathes and draws well.
A nice above average example. Not over the top (pardon the WW1 trenches pun) at was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference number AF36. Further / full sized pictures available upon request. Tube 1122-68×11 (1.255).
