The 22 3/4 inch blade has a gold (we are fairly sure it is gold) ferrule / covering near the hilt. With a date inscription of 1853 and Bhrami script to the blade.
The blade is in good condition, but the very tip is missing and the general tip area has suffered some rough treatment. Blade firm in hilt. The carved grip demon has some chips / losses. The knuckle bow is generally very good. The gold blade ferrule has some losses.
Overall, a well above average kastana in above average condition. A good investment at only was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference number AC15. Further / full sized pictures available upon request. Box 0144-0.82 (1.421).
