In sound condition, a 19C / 20C South Borneo / Sumatran Dayak
Piso Podang Sword.
 

A scarce sword, the piso padang is often mistaken for an Indian
tulwar, but comes from the islands and tribes of Borneo and Sumatra.


The 26 1/4 inch blade has inert rust and a nick to the forward
cutting edge but is overall sound and firm in the hilt. The brass
hilt with age and a few knocks but good. The sheath now in two distinct
separate sections taped together (could be glued).
