The 32 1/2 inch blade is aged with former rust pitting and patina patches, but the etching is still clear. Blade firm in hilt. The hilt / guard with VR Victorian cypher in overall very good condition. The black fishskin on the grip has shrunk from being dry but is overall good (repeat application of olive oil may improve / restore), as are the twisted grip wire bindings. The plated steel scabbard has multiple small rust spots / patches but is good. The sword sheathes and draws well.

Plenty of research potential. Yours for £? (too late, now sold) . Please quote item reference U57 (0899). Further / full sized images available upon request.
