19th Century Persian Shamshir with Fine Filigree

In very good condition for its age, a 19th Century Persian or
possibly Syrian Shamshir with Fine Filigree Hilt / Grip.
 

A quality sabre with superb filigree metal work and typical down
turned finales; one with an eyelet for a chain (missing) to connect
to the pommel. The blade with remains of maker's / armourer's mark
/ stamp.

29 Inch blade very sharp and in good overall condition, some scratches,
small amount of patina, the very tiniest point of the tip with some
bending, firm in the hilt. The hilt / grip with age and wear but
very good despite this.
A well above average example at a well below average price; £?
