Sold Item Notice

This is a rare unmarked WW2 J Clarke & Son 2nd Pattern F-S / Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife. You can tell it was made by Clarkes of Sheffield as it has their unique 'reversed' knurled brass grip.

The 6 3/4 inch blade is clearly hand made with an almost wootz type appearance. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt with some knocks and dents; clearly this knife saw active service. Sheath in fair though aged condition, maybe a later period replacement. Grab it quick; £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference U37 (0845). Full sized photos available upon request.
