The 34 1/2 inch blade is well etched, etching still very clear, and firm in the hilt. The period chemically browned (camouflaged) hilt / guard is in good condition, some age. The fishskin grip with some genuinely pleasing wear especially around the back piece which shows the sword has been carried a lot. Silver metal twisted grip wire in good order. The field steel scabbard has quite a few dings but is very sound and has some chemical browning remaining. The sword sheathes and draws very well.

Lovely sword, famous regiments, named officer! Yours for £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference T87 (0793). Further / full sized images available upon request.
