French Model 1816 Cuirassier (Heavy Cavalry) Trooper's Sword, Sold

In very good condition, a French Model 1816 Cuirassier (Heavy Cavalry) Trooper's Sword.

Engraved "Mfture Rale de Klingenthal Juin 1820" to the spine, this is a Klingenthal made French Cuirassier sword made in June 1820.

The 38 3/4 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt is also very good, as is the original grip leather (some wear) and twisted grip wire bindings. Heavy steel scabbard in very good shape. The sword sheathes and draws well.
