In very good condition, a 1944 Model WW2 Japanese Army Officer's Shin Gunto Katana, signed Kanemuni

A showato M1944 shin gunto, dated to blade, signed "Kanemuni".

The 26 inch nagasa (cutting edge section) blade is in very good condition, no nicks, very buffed, firm in the hilt. All the fittings are in very good shape / condition. Saya / scabbard in good condition, some wear. The sword sheathes and draws well. No seki or other stamps, but we are sure this is showato (not gendaito).
