Sales enquiries

The blade has been replated, probably period as quite well done (e.g. the brass proof slug has not been plated). Bearing the owner's / officer's initials in highly stylized form (looks like "B V").

The 34 inch blade is in good condition but with a rust patch to the lightening bolts motif of the Royal Artillery, firm in the hilt. The hilt generally very good. The fishskin grip has some losses; the twisted grip wire is good. The steel scabbard is good but has lost its lining slats, so the sword is loose when sheathed.

A good example at a great price; £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference R24 (0496). Further / full sized images available upon request.
