Victorian British Constabulary / Police Officer's Sword, Sold

In sound condition, a Victorian British Constabulary / Police Officer's Sword.

The blade has been over-cleaned and lost most of its etching. The scabbard securing / release pin is gone (most of these swords lose them at some stage as they are so fragile). But, look at our low price!

The 21 3/4 inch blade is in good condition overall (a rust patch either side) and firm in the hilt but with very little etching remaining. The brass hilt is generally good. Fishskin grip mostly good but missing the grip wire. The scabbard is in pretty good shape. The sword sheathes and draws well.

These normally sell for much more, grab it quick; £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference Q72 (0381). Further / full sized images available upon request.
