1818 Model Spanish Infantry Briquet Sword, Toledo, 1840, Sold

In good condition, a scarce special beaded hilt 1818 Model Spanish Infantry Briquet Sword, Toledo, dated 1840. We subsequently discovered this was a prop made for a Hollywood film set in the 1950's, so we have refunded the buyer with out apologies; apparently the beaded hilt and method of describing the blade are the giveaways.

Second Carlist War / Hispano-Moroccan War / Franco-Mexican War era sword with the rarer beaded hilt.

The 27 inch blade is in worn condition but is very good and firm in the hilt. The brass hilt / grip with some marking / casting flaws but overall good.
