The 32 1/4 inch blade has a steady patina throughout but the etching is still clear. Blade firm in hilt. The non-plated steel hilt is actually good but lightly rusted inside. The fishskin grip is mostly good but with scuffs and wear; the twisted grip wire mostly good, one lesser stand broken. The leather field service grip aged but good. The sword sheathes and draws well.

Good sword with research potential if you get the Wilkinson sales ledger entry copy. Nice price; £(too late, now sold). Please quote item reference number P29 (0250). Further / full sized pictures available upon request.
