Edwardian British Infantry Officers Sword,
In good overall condition, an Edwardian British infantry officers
No maker / retailer name etched to the ricasso, but quite an unusual
(good) etching style.
The 32 3/4 inch blade is in good shape but the etching a little
feint and patina spots throughout. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt
with plating loss / patina spots. The fishskin grip in good shape,
some of the twisted grip wire is missing. The browned (for service
use) scabbard has light rusting, but is sound except for a little
king near the chape / drag. The sword sheathes and draws well.
Nice sword, nice price; £? (too late, now sold). Please quote
item reference P19 (0208). Further / full sized images available
