Sales enquiries

Close to if not parade ground condition, may well suit a serving British / Commonwealth naval officer.

31 Inch blade in very good condition with fouled anchor one side, ERII royal cypher the other; blade firm in the hilt. The hilt very good with gilt remaining (we noticed some cleaning polish residue on the hilt in the photos after the item was boxed - this will easily remove). Faux fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings are very good. The gilt metal fittings on leather scabbard is losing its gilt in places through rubbing / wear. The sword knot appears to be in very good condition. The belts with some age / wear, appear to be for a 34 or 36 inch waist. The sword sheathes and draws well, the folding guard section does locate onto the locking pin of the scabbard but not fully; enough to hold the scabbard in place.

A lovely example, well worth £xxx. Please quote item reference number N80 (1330). Further / full sized pictures available upon request.
