1853 Pattern Rodwell Cavalry Trooper's Sabre
/ Sword, Sold |
A Rodwell & Co made 1853 pattern British cavalry trooper's
sword, made for Baroda Native State (Indian Army) during Britain's
rule of India, in very good condition.

If you want a minty 1853P at a low, low price, this is for you.
It does not look like it has been out of stores, except for the
weakened leather of the scabbard.

33 1/2 Inch blade in very good condition and firm in the hilt.
The hilt also very good. The grip with no apparent wear. The leather
and steel scabbard was never strong in the first place and the leather
is prone to bending, as it has. The sword sheathes and draws nicely
though; a well above average example
OK, you can have it for only £(too late: sold!). A near mint
authentic antique 1853P! Please quote item reference N72 (1341).
