A rare early 20C Argentine merchant's dagger, in overall quite
good condition, made / retailed / marked to by E Barrie.
E. Barrie was a cutlery and knife merchant on Rivadavia 567 in
Buenos Ayres (Aires) in the early 20th Century. This is a Argentinean
merchant's knife and would have been worn by a trader for protection
from thieves / muggers / robbers.
The 13 1/4 inch blade has rust and patina, firm in the hilt. The
hilt, possibly silver plated or plain steel is in overall good condition,
the cross guard with some minor bending. The leather sheath aged
and worn. A rare item for only £xxx(too late - but we will
