The 35 1/2 inch blade is in overall good condition with only a little rust / patina and firm in the hilt. The hilt is also in good good condition, some light rust to the inner bowl guard, a few specs to the front. The grip in equally good condition. The leather fields service scabbard has wear and age, the chape / drag end especially. The sword sheathes and draws well. The original sword knot in quite good condition is a very welcome bonus.
