In very good condition, a superb late WW1 Wilkinson made British
Royal Artillery officer's sword.
A really lovely condition WW1 British infantry officer's sword
with rarer "snakeskin" (patterned leather) grip, preferred
by some officers. The stamped "proved" mark indicates
this sword was made around 1917.
The 31 1/2 inch well etched blade has some virtually no wear /
patina and is firm in the hilt. The plated steel hilt is almost
as new; a little polishing will probably make it as new. The lovely
leather "snakeskin" grip and slanted twisted grip wire
bindings are very individual, very good. The leather field service
scabbard is a little aged but still good. The sword sheathes and
