An elegant and robust light cavalry sword with the earlier Georgian wide flared 3 bar guard (later / Victorian examples have tighter 3 bar guards which afforded better protection but do not look as good) and pipeback, quill pointed blade.

The 34 5/8 inch blade is in good order, the tablet form William IV royal cypher etching faded / worn but still there, a little light rust pitting towards the point, but not much. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt in very good order. The fishskin grip and twisted grip wire good; well above average. Complete with steel scabbard in good order; sword sheathes and draws well.
