19th / 20th Century Sudanese Kaskara, Arabic
/ Islamic Scripts, sold
In good condition, a very nice Sudanese kaskara, the blade embellished
with Arabic / Islamic scripts, complete with leather scabbard and
A great example of this iconic sword, no doubt bought back by a
British officer / serviceman as a war trophy from the Sudan at the
turn of the 19th Century.
The 32 1/4 inch blade has some light patina rust spots on it, but
not too many; the etching still very clear and the blade firm in
the hilt. The grip / hilt, sheath / scabbard and straps are all
aged, but still there and sound enough.
A really well above average example and yours for only £?
