1850 Pattern British Worcester City River
Police Sword, sold
In good condition, a rare 1850 pattern British river police officer's
sword, etched to the Worcester City Police.
The tablet etching only just visible, to the Worcester City Police,
so this river police sword would have been carried by an officer
patrolling the Rivers Severn and Stour.
The 23 5/8 inch blade is in good though worn condition, with a
patina throughout and is firm in the hilt. The brass three bar hilt
(for river police) is in good condition. The leather grip is also
