Very nicely made with lovely deep etching. RNR swords are very much scarcer than RN swords.

The 30 3/4 inch blade is in good condition and well etched; there is some slight rubbing or possibly former damage to one section and a little pitting towards the point. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt bearing the fouled anchor with "R N R" insignia. The fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings are good. The folding guard works well. There exists the remains of the original sword knot. The leather and gilt metal fittings pretty good; some aging but not too much. The sword sheathes and draws well.

A nice sword for only £500. Please quote item reference I69 (1135). Further / full sized images available upon request.
