Made by William Anderson & Sons Ltd 4/6 George Street Edinburgh, clearly etched to the Kings Own Scottish Borderers.

The 32 3/4 inch etched blade is in good condition but with wear and patina spots. Blade firm in the hilt; some loss of plating especially to pommel. The fishskin grip is good, some fading to a few patches, the twisted grip wire bindings also good. The field leather scabbard in sound though aged (some leather shrinkage, some loss of plating to steel fittings). The sword sheathes and draws well.

A nice World War One era example for only £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference number H92 (1009). Full sized / additional photos available upon request.
