A good example, most have lost all of their blue and gilt etching, this one still has quite a bit, and also some gilt to the hilt remains. In addition, the twisted silver wire grip is good / complete (most of these swords have lost their grip surface).

The 31 7/8 inch blade is in generally good order, fairly firm in the hilt. The grip good. The scabbard with a repair to the bottom third. The sword sheathes and draws fairly well.

A nice piece of Napoleonic history (who knows what this sword has seen). Please quote item reference number H01. Further / full sized pictures available upon request. Box 1016-1m (1.650)
