Sales enquiries

The 32 1/4 inch blade is very nicely etched, no maker's / cutler's / retailer's name so we suspect 1917-1918, minimal patina / aging and firm in the hilt. The hilt most good, some small rust areas. The fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings are good. The leather sword knot is aged and has broken at one point. The sword sheathes and draws well enough (sheaves and draws well but the scabbard does not hold the sword in place when inverted). The belts, etc are aged but sound. Like all swords with no provenance of this era, one can only hold it and wonder what fate befell the officer.

A great sword and package for only £350. Please quote item reference G03 (929). Further / full sized images available upon request.
