1854 Pattern George V Scots Guards Officers
Sword, sold |
In very good condition, a levee weight George V Scots Guards officer's
sword, identified original owner.

On the spine is the Wilkinson serial number 56271 and the original
owner's initials "E T C" for "E T Cutler", so
the original officer and his can be researched. This George V Scots
Guards officer's sword has battle honours down both sides of the
blade.

The 32 1/2 inch blade with battle honours, Royal Cypher, etc.
has been replated at some stage, is in very good condition and firm
in the hilt. The hilt is also very good, pretty much parade ground
condition. The grip has a little of the black patent worn away but
is still very good, as are the twisted silver metal grip wire bindings.
The plated steel scabbard has some former corrosion damage to the
shoe / drag but it otherwise very good. The sword sheathes and draws
well enough.
For just £375, this is an incredibly good buy. Please quote
item reference number F74 (908). Further / full sized pictures available
upon request.
