The 32 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition, some aging, not much, and is firm in the hilt. The hilt with some plating loss and a little light rusting, otherwise very good. The fishskin grip has lost a little of its colour, but is in good order, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. The field leather scabbard is also very good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
