This is an awesome short sword, nothing like the other brass handled short swords (briquets) used around Europe. Weighing in at a massive 1.465 Kg, this hanger is heaver than most full length cavalry swords! The 19 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition, and firm in the hilt, the brass ribbed hilt also very good. A well above average example.
