1920's/30's Italian Eritrean / East African Short Sword / Machete, Sold

A very rare Italian East African soldier's machete, in very good condition.

An exceptionally rare item, an Italian made Eritrean / Italian East African soldier's short sword / machete, in typical Abyssinian style hide sheath. The 45 cm blade with "GLG" above above and under stars maker's mark, plus "No 100" is in good condition, some patination but not much, and still sharp. Blade firm in the typically Italian brass and hardwood hilt, all in good order. Complete with original locally made leather sheath with various markings including suns and scrolls, in very good though aged condition. A superb rare item for only £? (too late, now sold).
