1859 Model Swedish Infantry Officer's Sword, sold

A very good condition rare Swedish 1859M infantry officer's sword.

A scarce M1859 Swedish infantry officer's sword, marked to the blade "Konungen" (King).

The 29 1/2 inch pipe-back quill point blade is in very good order, the etching a little rubbed / feint, only smallest amount of rust marking and firm in the hilt. The hilt with nice amounts of gilt remaining and in very good shape; the fishskin grip sound, the twisted grip wire bindings a little loose in places. Complete with original sword knot, the steel scabbard is in good condition (the brown is not rust but I think remnants of original browning to the scabbard). Try and buy another one at any price!
